Mobile Satellite User Association BoD Announcement

International not-for-profit association representing the interests of the millions of users of satellite services expands its leadership.

  

February 1, 2023 – McLean, VA – The Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA), a global not-for-profit focused on amplifying the voice of users of satellite solutions for mobile communication, navigation, and safety and industry innovators, announces its 2023 board of directors.

  

“Our 2023 Board of Directors features a prominent group of professionals that brings many decades of experience to our organization. I welcome each of these remarkable professionals to our core team and I look forward to collaborating with them to continue MSUA’s phenomenal growth trajectory in 2023,” says Lisa Dreher, President, MSUA.

  

Representing satellite mobile users and solution providers globally, MSUA’s 2023 board of directors includes, (alphabetically by last name) Francis Auricchio, President and CEO, Mission Microwave; Brian Barnett, Founder and CEO, Solstar Space; Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, SVP, Government Strategy and Policy, U.S., Inmarsat; Ana Maria Edwards, VP Channel Sales, Blue Sky Network; Erwan Emilian, Chairman of the Board, SatLease Capital; Andrew Faiola, Roger McGarrahan, CEO, Pathfinder Digital; Lilac Muller, VP Product, Kymeta; J. Alberto Palacios, CEO, Globalsat Group; Joel Schroeder, Director Land Mobile, Intelsat, John J. Stolte, EVP Technology and Operations, ORBCOMM, and Mark Sykes.

   

MSUA’s 2023 Leadership team includes Erwan Emilian of SatLease Capital, who was reelected to serve as Board Chairman, Mark Sykes to serve as Vice-Chairman, and Roger McGarrahan of Pathfinder Digital to serve as General Counsel. Brian Barnett of Solstar Space was newly selected to serve as MSUA’s Treasurer with Maike Denda serving as Finance Director. Additionally, Frank August will continue as Board Secretary and Lisa Dreher will continue as President.

  

“MSUA will be holding its annual Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards on March 14, 2023, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This annual awards program recognizes the leading satellite mobile innovations from across the industry and around the world,” said Erwan Emilian, MSUA Board Chairman. “Sponsorships and tickets for this special awards program are available now, though space is limited.
